About

Jim and I stopped for a quick photo on our way home from Key West

Welcome to WNM!

My name is Sasha and I’m a 20-something graduate student working on my PhD in environmental chemistry in sunny south Florida.

When I’m not doing science in the lab or working on my shop – You can usually find me running, reading, cooking, eating or lounging on the couch catching up on TV shows with my boyfriend, Jim.

Besides Jim, I share my apartment with my 2 pet bettas: Rupert and Vertigo

Why “Mints”?

It has sort of been a joke in my family for years and it all began when my family and I went out to dinner …

When we were finished eating, I promptly got up and immediately went searching the area around the hostess for the after-dinner mints. To my dismay, I discovered that there were none and exclaimed incredulously, “What! No mints!?” It was apparently amusing to have such a small child make this declaration and we still laugh about it to this day!

Craving more “Mints”?

You can find me all over the interwebs!

Follow me on Twitter, Flickr and Pinterest or hop over and peruse nerdy novelties in my Etsy shop!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love your blog! I hope you don’t mind, but I shared one of your Florida shots on my blog this morning. I linked everyone back to your lovely blog though. I wish you had a follow button!!! I’d be on board already!!! :-)

    • Haha – Love it! Glad I could take you with us on our trip :)

I have no problem with people using my pictures for personal use – Thanks so much for linking back too! About “Following” – I wish I had the option but unfortunately WordPress doesn’t have one like Blogger does. I have been thinking about signing up for a follow option from an outside website, but I don’t know yet. Either way – You can always just add me to your bookmarks or as a link somewhere in your blog so you always have it (that’s what I do with my regular blog reads!).

      Thanks again for stopping by!!

  2. I love the story behind the name of your blog/shop. I have a similar story – at a Christmas dinner, I was asked how much turkey would I like, and I answered, “Just a big piece, please.” Everyone laughed and laughed (I cried!! I thought they were laughing at me) and it still gets repeated to this day as well!!
