Pierogies Two Ways

Today I have prepared for you pierogies two ways:

The first preparation begins with cutting the pierogi shape from wool felt and folding it over to create a pocket into which I stuffed a good amount of polyester filling.  The pierogi is then sealed with a few stitches of embroidery floss and a loop of satin string is attached for easy hanging.

The second pierogi preparation is very similar to the first.  However, instead of being hung from a loop of string, a silver bar pin was firmly sewn to the back and covered with matching felt for a finished appearance.

Hump Day Finds

That’s right … Four, count ‘em, FOUR finds this week!  I have been adding things to my favorites like crazy because I keep seeing items I want for myself while Christmas shopping for others (oops!). Not sure if I want to start doing the collage thing for my Finds too … We shall see.

More Microbes!

I am so happy to have my camera back (well … so happy to have found it right under my nose).  This weekend I had a photo shoot with some of my newest amoebas and parameciums:

These eco-friendly microbes would totally be the perfect gag gift or make a fun little stocking stuffer for that science nerd you know – I have them in magnet, brooch and keychain forms!

They will be making appearances in the shop throughout the week.
