Jim and I explored Big Cypress National Preserve yesterday. We spotted alligators, huge grasshoppers and a walking catfish (!) on our drive out to the trails, then stopped to hike along the Kirby Storter Boardwalk before we headed home.
The giant cypress trees were pretty amazing – We also spied noisy frogs, amusing turtles and a few fish species in the swampy waters surrounding the boardwalk:
